6 Things Every Girl Needs In Her Wardrobe!

To my fellow fashionistas,
As I was browsing my closet the other day, I came across the idea to write this blog entry. Over the years I have found myself following the latest trends and hottest styles when in reality, I should have been spending my paycheck on essentials and classic pieces. I came up with a list of the top ten items that every girl needs in her wardrobe. I ask you all to please comment below with your ideas of what a girl should have in her wardrobe. As I always say, the more the merrier.
xoxo,
Alli

1.) The LBD (little black dress)- The little black dress, or "LBD" as most have learned to call it was first  made famous by none other then, Audrey Hepburn. This classic piece can be strapless, A-line, tank,wrap-style or whatever you feel comftorable with. The best part about this item? You can dress it up or down for any occasion.

Girlfriend Material Black Dress from LuLu's-$38.00

2.) Jeans- Need I say more? I LOVE jeans. Absoluley love them. They are my all time favorite piece to wear out of any of them. My favorite pair happen to be really affordable and cute, all at the same time.
The Rockstar Super Skinny Jeans in "Camp Fire" $30.00 from Old Navy

3.) A Collared Shirt- This piece can be tucked into jeans for a more laid back look or worn with a skirt for a night out on the town.
Easy Chambray Shirt in "Light Chambray" $49.95 from Gap

4.) A Black Skirt- These are an essential for every girl because they go with, well, everything. These can easily be dressed up for an important occasion.
Black Ribbed Bodycon Skirt-$8.80 from Forever21

5.) T-SHIRTS!!!!!!!!- The ultimate american apparell is a must for anyones closet. My favorite kind happens to be from Hollister. They are well made, last long and have a variety of colors to choose from.
Bay Street Tee-$10 from Hollister

6.) Black Heels- These can be paired with skinny jeans for a more casual look or paired with a dress for a much more dressy effect. These are the one item on the list that I would suggest investing in. A pair of good, well made shoes last alot longer than cheap ones.

Dear my oh-so-lovely followers & new readers,
I have recently been searching for a great beauty and fashion book to read. So when I came across the book Style by Lauren Conrad, I was instantly in love. This book features all of the important items to get to build your closet into a good foundation. It also features some of Lauren's favorite pieces in her closet. Not only does this book feature fashion articles, there are also sections on beauty, hair and even packing for different length trips. I really enjoyed this book and recommend it to any of my fashionistas out there like myself! (Below is a link to where you can find this book)

Trend-Setting Sites!-littleblackbag.com

As a fashion blogger myself, I always look for new and exciting websites that state the latest trends. I often look to other beauty bloggers for their advice on trend setting websites. One type of website that I love in particular is the "monthly subscription" website which allows you to choose an item each month for a monthly fee. Nowadays, they have these kinds of websites on everything from makeup to cupcakes (it's just making me hungry even thinking about it). Here's one of my favorite sites, http://www.littleblackbag.com which features tons of different products from designers like BCBGeneration, Betsey Johnson, Kenneth Cole and many more!
Enjoy!

Alli

So what is "littleblackbag.com" anyways?
This website is a monthly subscription that you pay $50 for, ($100 value). You get to pick one "major" item worth up to 100 dollars. There are many different choices from accessories to beauty to even home goods! All of these items come from name brand designers. The best part? At the checkout, you will receive two other smaller gifts, courtesy of lbb.

Top Ten Beauty Products Under $10

Many people think that you can only find great makeup products at expensive department stores and from expensive brands such as MAC, Sephora and other department stores. I however do not agree with that. Nowadays there are so many great beauty products that you can find in the drugstore that are affordable and just as good as other high-end products. Don't put a hole in your wallet or break your bank with these expensive purchases. Here are my top ten products under ten dollars that will leave you happy and guilt-free. Enjoy! (Comments are greatly appreciated)

Alli

2.) Maybelline EyeStudio Color Tattoo in "Bad To The Bronze"-$5.84 from Target
This cream eyeshadow is a stunning bronze color that will leave your lids shimmery and sure to get attention!

3.) NYX Slide On Eye Pencil in "Jet Black"-$7.99 from Ulta
This long-wearing eye pencil has all the benefits of a pencil with some benefits of a liquid liner. These pencils are very comparable to the Urban Decay Eye Pencils.

As alot of you know, keeping up with the latest "trends" can be pretty expensive. Especially when your a student, or even when you just don't feel like spending $80 on a pair of khaki shorts. As a fellow trendsetter myself, I like to look my best and in-style at all times. I also don't ever like to feel guilty for purchases I've made. Here is an affordable way to wear all of the latest Summer 2012 trends. I hope you all like it.xoxo,

Shorts (More Colors Available) Forever 21-$10.50
